In reality, what it does, is create a false sense of hope that the creator is doing one thing that does defend them. The Vimeo co-founder Zach Klein is quoted on their web site as saying “lastly, copyrighting is easy and honest.” A photographer is quoted as saying “Binded makes it simple to handle my copyrights.” These are quoted, clearly, because the opinions of these individuals, so they can say whatever they want, even when it is blatantly inaccurate. The Vimeo co-founder suggests Binded is “copyrighting”, which it isn’t.
There is no whisper of a rationale for this. That they had an inventory of private service businesses that they did not make up themselves, and even if using it didn’t make sense to begin with, at the least they had been simply plugging it in, because it stood. Now two favored professions have been taken off the record, apparently as a result of somebody with affect over the ultimate product wanted to profit architects and engineers relative to medical doctors, attorneys, athletes, consultants, etc.
